Privacy Policy

The short version

LoLClassicBuilds.com is a static tier list and build site. There are no accounts, no logins, no comment box and no newsletter, so there is nothing here for you to sign up to and no profile for us to build. We do not ask you for your name, your email address, your Riot ID or your payment details, and we never sell data to anyone.

Two things do collect data while you read: a privacy-focused analytics counter that tells us how many people visited a page, and Google's advertising system, which pays for the site's hosting. Both are described in full below.

Who runs this site

LoLClassicBuilds.com is an independent, privately operated website. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Riot Games. For any privacy question, data request or complaint, write to contact@lolclassicbuilds.com — that address reaches the site operator directly.

Analytics — what we measure

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It is deliberately the least invasive option available: it sets no cookies, it does not fingerprint your browser or device, and it does not follow you to other websites. It records aggregate signals such as which page was loaded, the referring site, the country your request came from, and broad browser and device categories.

We use that only to see which champions and guides people actually read, so we know what to write next. We cannot identify you from it, and we cannot single out one person's browsing history in it.

Advertising — Google AdSense

This site is funded by display advertising served through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads. Where you have consented (or where consent is not legally required), those ads may be personalised, meaning Google draws on data about your previous visits to this and other websites to decide which ads to show. Google may also process your IP address, approximate location, and interactions with the ad.

We do not receive, store or have access to any of the personal data Google collects. We see only aggregate performance figures — impressions, clicks, revenue. We do not pass anything about you to Google beyond the fact that an ad slot was loaded on a page.

Google's own explanation of what it collects and why is at How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can turn personalised advertising off across Google entirely at Google Ad Settings, and opt out of many other vendors at Your Online Choices (EU) or the DAA opt-out (US).

Consent, and your choices in the EEA, UK and Switzerland

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent banner appears before any advertising cookie is set. It is provided through a Google-certified consent management platform. You can accept personalised ads, refuse them, or manage individual purposes and vendors — the site works identically either way, and refusing does not hide any content. If you refuse, you still see ads, but they are non-personalised: chosen from the page's content and your coarse location rather than from a profile of you.

You can change your mind at any time by reopening the consent controls from the banner link, or by clearing this site's cookies in your browser, which makes the banner appear again on your next visit.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and delivered through Cloudflare's network. Like every web host, Cloudflare processes the technical details of a request — IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent — in order to deliver the page and to protect the site against attacks and abuse. This is standard infrastructure logging, retained by Cloudflare under its own policy. We do not export, join or analyse those logs.

Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

For readers in the EEA and UK, our legal bases under the GDPR are: consent for advertising cookies and personalised advertising, collected through the consent banner described above; and legitimate interest for cookieless aggregate analytics and for the security and delivery logging that hosting requires. That legitimate interest is running and defending a website, balanced against a form of measurement that cannot identify you.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data an organisation holds about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict its processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent you previously gave. California residents additionally have the right to know what is collected and to opt out of its sale or sharing — we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA.

To exercise any of these, email contact@lolclassicbuilds.com. In practice we hold almost nothing about you: there is no account to delete and no profile to export. For data Google holds through its advertising cookies, the fastest route is Google's own controls at Google Account — Data & privacy, because that data sits with Google and not with us. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.

Children

This site is written for people playing League of Legends and is not directed at children under 13 (under 16 in some EEA countries). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through this site, contact us and we will look into it.

Links to other sites

We link out to Riot Games, to the tier list sources credited in the footer, and to reference material. Once you follow one of those links you are on someone else's site, under their privacy policy, not ours. The same is true of any advertiser you click through to.

Changes to this policy

This policy is effective 31 July 2026. If the site's data practices change — a new analytics tool, a different ad network, anything that alters what is collected — this page is updated in the same release, and the effective date above changes with it. There is no mailing list to notify, so the date is the version marker.
